IEVA was proud to take part in the 10th Optometry Conference, held over two days on Thursday and Friday, where leading voices in vision care gathered to exchange knowledge and advocate for better eye health.
Our founder, Dr. Bahaeddin Jaber, delivered a keynote lecture emphasizing the essential role that doctors and optometrists play in serving their communities. He spoke passionately about the importance of regular eye examinations, early detection of conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, and the timely treatment of refractive errors in children to prevent long-term vision complications.
Dr. Jaber also took the opportunity to invite attendees to become part of the IEVA family, underlining the strength of collaboration and the importance of unified efforts in public health. He highlighted IEVA’s ongoing partnership with VOSH International as a successful model of cross-border cooperation in vision care.
This event marks another important milestone in IEVA’s mission to promote equitable access to eye health services and raise awareness across the region.
IEVA was honored to welcome young cancer fighter Aseel and her companion Salma to Bahaa Clinic for a special eye checkup. Their visit was a touching reminder of resilience and hope. Aseel’s strength and spirit lit up the clinic, reminding us all of the importance of compassion in healthcare.

In a mission to bring vision care to the workplace, IEVA conducted a full eye screening for the dedicated team at Almaha Yogurt Industry. Thanks to our generous partners at House of Optics, we provided free eyeglasses to employees in need, supporting their health, safety, and productivity on the job.

During the holy month of Ramadan, IEVA hosted a heartfelt Iftar gathering dedicated to honoring cancer fighters and their families. The evening was filled with warmth, unity, and shared strength.
As part of the event, we provided free eye examinations, ensuring that those battling illness continue to receive the care they deserve. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and stand beside these warriors, offering not just eye care—but encouragement and hope.
We warmly welcome the launch of a new VOSH chapter under the International Eye Health and Vision Association (IEVA) in Jordan.
Dr. Bahaa Jaber, President of VOSH-IEVA-Jordan, stated: "At IEVA, we are committed to providing our full support to this chapter in advancing humanitarian efforts, educational initiatives, awareness campaigns, and knowledge transfer activities. We look forward to collaboratively achieving the objectives of VOSH-IEVA through well-structured strategies and by continuing the outstanding work of IEVA members."
During World Optometry Week, VOSH-IEVA-Jordan partnered with the SVOSH-AAU-Jordan chapter to provide eye care services to children with cancer across the country. This impactful collaboration between VOSH chapters highlights our shared dedication to improving vision health in Jordan.
We are pleased to participate under our organization’s name (IEVA) in the Free Medical Day organized by Al-Sahabi Abdullah Bin Umm Maktoum Association for the Blind and Orphans in collaboration with Amman Ahliyya University, held on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
This event was an opportunity to provide a variety of distinguished health services, including:
● Eye examinations
● Provision of necessary eyeglasses and contact lenses
● Referrals for eye surgeries when needed

The event, held on April 24, 2025, at Crowne Plaza Hotel – Dead Sea, was a key milestone for both Dr. Jaber and IEVA’s mission.
